Firm360 includes an automatic logout feature to help protect your firm’s account security. Users are automatically logged out after a period of inactivity.
By default, accounts are set to log out after 90 minutes (1.5 hours) of inactivity.
Note: This inactivity timeout also applies to the Adobe Connector plugin tool, helping ensure secure access across integrated tools.
Customizing the Inactivity Timeout
Firms can adjust the inactivity timeout setting based on their internal security policies.
To update the setting:
Go to Admin
Select Settings
Click Other
Modify the Auto Logout (Inactivity Timeout) duration
The timeout can be configured up to 600 minutes (10 hours).
Important: Adobe Editing Session Limit
Please note:
Even if your Firm360 inactivity timeout is set higher than 360 minutes, Edit in Adobe sessions are capped at 360 minutes (6 hours) of inactivity.
This means:
A file can be actively edited in Adobe for up to 6 hours
After 6 hours of inactivity, the Adobe editing session will automatically log out
This limit cannot be extended beyond 360 minutes
Recommended Setting
While the timeout can be extended, 90 minutes is the recommended duration to balance security and usability.
Shorter timeouts provide stronger protection for sensitive client data, especially in shared or remote work environments.
