Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in Firm360

To protect user accounts and sensitive client data, Firm360 requires Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all users.

MFA adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring more than just your username and password when logging in.

What Is Multi-Factor Authentication?

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), also known as 2FA, adds an extra layer of security to your Firm360 account by requiring two forms of verification:

  • Something you know – Your password

  • Something you have – A verification code sent to your device or generated by an authentication app

When logging in, you’ll enter your username and password, then provide a secure code based on your selected authentication method.

MFA helps protect your account and client data by preventing unauthorized access—even if your password is compromised.

Available Authentication Methods

Firm360 supports the following MFA options:

  • SMS Code Authentication
Receive a one-time verification code via text message.

  • Time-Based Token App
Use an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator) to generate a secure, time-based code.

We recommend using a time-based token app for enhanced security.

How to Set Up MFA

  1. Click the Gear icon in the top right corner of your Firm360 account.

  2. Select Profile.

  1. Confirm your mobile number
  2. Setup MFA option

5. Choose the preferred MFA method.

Note: Firm360 recommends the Time-Based Token App over the SMS Authentication option

  • SMS Code Authentication - after verifying mobile phone number
Receive a one-time verification code via text message.

  • Time-Based Token App
Use an authenticator app (Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator) to generate a secure, time-based code.

For Time-Based Token App

Select this option and follow on-screen instructions.

Upon return to the User Profile detail modal, MFA Status will be set.

Note: To change the MFA Status on a user's account, the user will navigate to the User Profile modal and select "Reset MFA".  Make the desired choice for method of authentication and follow steps outlined above.
