You can enter your time from the Time Tracking tab within the black ribbon on the left within your Firm360. From the Time Tracking page, you will need to enter all the detail to record the time spent under Add Time Entry.
- Select the user and date.
- Or click on the date within the weekly summary calendar.
- Fill in the time entry fields:

- Client
- Project (Closed Projects will remain on the Project dropdown list for 7 days)
- Category
- Type
- Task (This field is optional unless the Projects: Task-Level Estimates is selected)
- Hours
- Description
- + Add button to add the time

You can enter time in a couple of different formats. Click the help button beside "Add time entry" to see the other formats.
Examples:
- Enter hours as a whole number or decimal: .25, 0.5, 1, 1.75 (note: when entering a decimal, no will rounding occurs)
- Time range: 8:30am-9am, 8:30am-9:15am, 11am-1pm, 9pm-11pm, 8am-now (note: no rounding will occur when time ranges are entered)
- Start time: If you enter a single time in this field, it will start a timer with that time and leave it open so you can track your time on the current task. You can also specify 'now' to start the timer with the current time. Note: You cannot select a specific number b/c it will be treated as # of hours. (Example values: 8:00, 8:00am, 8a, 8am, now.
You now also have the option to Bulk Add Time Entries. You will need to make sure this setting is enabled in your Firm360. Go to Settings, go to the Time Tracking section and enable Enable Adding Time Entries in Bulk. This feature will allow you to add time entries in bulk within the Time Tracking screen.

- You can start a timer from within the Time Tracking tab in the black ribbon OR when you begin a project within a specific client. The Start Timer feature is found in the upper right corner of the page.
When you use a timer to track your time, rounding will occur based on the time rounding tragedy selected in the Admin -> settings.
Go to Settings and Enter the time entry rounding: Quarter Hour, Half Hour, Six Minutes, Five Minutes, or Exact
(5 Minute Rounding "Rules": if the time is between 1-6 minutes, it rounds to 5 minutes; and if the time is between 7-11, it rounds to 10 minutes.)

The deeper you are within the system, the time entry fields are automatically populated for you. You can add a time entry from the project level or the billing tab within the client.
At the bottom of the screen, you will see and edit your time entries for a specific day. If you need to add a new time entry with the same information (category, type, client, project, etc.) you can click the two blue boxes to the right of the date to "Copy Another" time entry. You can edit anything on that screen if needed, and then click Submit to create a new time entry.

How Firm360 Handles Multiple Timers
To support accurate time tracking and reliable reporting, Firm360 automatically pauses any running timer when a new one is started or prompts the user to stop the active timer before starting another. This prevents overlapping time entries and helps maintain clean data for productivity, profitability, and client transparency.
