Importing Invoices & Payment Credits into Firm360
This guide shows how to use the invoice import template in Firm360, which can also be used to import unallocated payment credits. We generally recommend importing up to five years of historical invoices.
Required Fields
Client Number (Column A): Must match an existing client in Firm360.
Invoice Number (Column B): Must be unique—cannot duplicate invoices in the template or in Firm360.
Invoice Date: The date the invoice was issued.
Single Line Item Title: Must match an active billable category in Firm360 (Customizations → Billable Categories).
Invoice Due Date: Required. The date the invoice is due.
Invoice Amount: Required. If the amount is zero, the invoice will import as paid.
Optional Fields
Line Item Description: Optional notes for the invoice line item.

Payment Date & Payment Collected (Columns H & I): Optional.
Blank fields → invoice imports as open.
Full payment → invoice imports as closed.
Partial payment → invoice imports with remaining balance (only one partial payment per invoice is supported; combine multiple payments into one).
Payment Credits
On the second tab, Client Number is required and must match an existing client.
Include the Payment Credit Date, Amount, and Reference ID. Each reference ID must be unique.
Submitting Your Template
Upload the completed invoices and payment credits template to your 1000 Office client portal.
Email your Data Migration Specialist or support@myfirm360.com.
