Send clients and third-party other recipients document requests
Send a Document Request
1. Navigate to the “Clients” tab
2. Search/select the client Name.
3. Click “View.”
4. Click the Documents tab.
5. Click “Request Document” under the Add dropdown.
6. Search/select to populate contact, message to client, all other required fields denoted with “*” and optional fields if desired.
You can add a document checklist or select a client custom field checklist that has your clients documents listed.
7. Click request.
Note: When Document Checklists are requested there is a character Limit of 10,000 characters
Client's Point of View
The client will receive an email notification:
- Contacts with Client Portal access will be directed to log into the Client Portal to upload their Documents
- Contacts without Client Portal access and Third-Party recipients will be taken to a Secure Document Transfer screen to upload documents
Requesting Client Document - without client portal access
Having these 3 fields populated will activate the client portal access:
- Mobile phone number
- Tax ID
In order to send/request a document from the client without client portal access, you must remove one of the required fields mentioned above. By doing so, the client portal feature will not be activated, enabling your clients to securely upload documents via a secure e-mail link.
Bulk Request Documents
1. Navigate to the Clients Search Screen and Select the clients to bulk request documents from
2. Click the gear
3. Click bulk document request
4. Fill out the selected sections and click save
Requesting Client Document - without client portal access
