Adobe - Install Adobe Connector for Windows

Firm360 Adobe Connector puts a tool button in the Adobe Acrobat Pro toolbar which will allow you to send files directly to the Firm360 system, saving you time.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW BEFORE INSTALLING:

  • Use Chrome browser to install.
  • Can only be installed in each users computer LOCAL drive.

  • Acrobat Reader
  • Acrobat Reader Standard
  • Creative Cloud - Adobe Acrobat
  • Creative Cloud - Adobe Acrobat Standard

 

From Firm360

1. Navigate to the Documents tab on the ribbon on the left.

2.  Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Click here in a blue text link to download installer.

 

 

(Use the download links to download the correct Connector for your operating system.)

 

 

From your PC
Note: Acrobat must be completely closed to properly install.


1. Once downloaded from steps above, follow installation process for your computer.
2. Double click “Firm360Connector_Installer” to begin installation. You can find this in your Windows Downloads folder or web browser Downloads.

*If you receive the error message “Windows protected your PC,” click “More info” and “Run anyway” as seen below:

 

4. Click “Next” and “Yes” to allow the Connector to make changes to your computer.
5. Once the installation is complete, close out of the installer and restart your computer.

 

From Adobe
If you have the newest version of Adobe, you will need to revert to the previous version of Adobe's UI to see our blue Firm360 toolbar icon/logo better.


Now, you can follow the instructions below:
1. In Adobe, click the Menu or View in the top left corner.
2. Hover over View or Show/Hide
3. Hover over Toolbar Items (if you have the newest version of Adobe, skip this step)
4. Click Customize Toolbar or Customize Quick Tools

5. Scroll down and click to expand Add-on Tools
6. Click Firm360 File Upload to select it (highlights in blue).
7. Click the icon + in the middle section with an arrow pointing left.
- Older adobe version, click on the icon on the right of the pop-up box that is a plus sign and an arrow.
8. Click Save

To initialize the connection, log in using your Firm360 Firm Alias and Firm360 login credentials.

For newer versions of Adobe, the button to press will be a small pink box to the left side of the document

For example:
Firm Alias: AmysAccounting (your URL is https://AmysAccounting.myfirm360.com)
Email: Your Firm360 log-in email
Password: Your Firm360 log-in password

 

 

NOTE: Once connected, you may be able to edit in Adobe using the toolbar Firm360 tool.

 

IMPORTANT: In order to always view the document in Adobe once you select 'Edit in Adobe', you will need to right click on the download arrow and select 'Always open with system viewer'

 

 

Adobe Plug-In Accessibility

  • The file can be edited for up to 6 Hours.
  • The Adobe Connector  follows your firm’s session timeout (Minutes of inactivity before User is logged out).
  • Setting change does require the Admin User Role to update this firm-wide setting
