RightSignature - Checking Signature Status

If you need to check the signature status of documents pending signatures in RightSignature, you can easily do so both within Firm360 and directly through your RightSignature account.

By logging into your RightSignature account online, you'll have access to the full audit trail of the signature request, providing detailed information about its progress.

If you cancel a signature request please do so within your Firm360 to ensure the client action is cancelled within the client's portal.

If a signature request has been declined by the client navigate to "show all signature requests" within the documents tab in the black ribbon or from the client's documents tab.  "show all signature requests" will be found at the top of either tab once opened.  You will also have the ability to view declined signature requests from the search criteria dropdown.

If a signature request has expired navigate to "show all signature requests" within the documents tab in the black ribbon or from the client's documents tab.  "show all signature requests" will be found at the top of either tab once opened.  You will also have the ability to view expired signature requests from the search criteria dropdown.

  1. Navigate to the black ribbon and click on the Documents tab
  2. Click the Search Criteria dropdown
  3. Select Has Pending Signature Request from the options

4. Click on the Document Name to view the Signature Request Status

Pending: The client has not yet signed the document.

Pending Identity Authentication: The client has signed the document, but has not completed the email verification sent by RightSignature to confirm their identity. This is a security measure enforced by RightSignature and cannot be resent by either the RightSignature user or Firm360 support. The verification email will be sent the day after the client signs the document, and this process cannot be disabled.

Declined:  The client has declined to sign the signature request and an email has been sent to the requester with an explanation from the client if they chose to provide this information.  To navigate to see if a document has been declined by a client go to "show all signature requests".  You will also have the ability to view declined signature requests from the search criteria dropdown.

Expired:  The client failed to sign the document within the days permitted.  If a signature request has expired navigate to "show all signature requests" within the documents tab in the black ribbon or from the client's documents tab.  "show all signature requests" will be found at the top of either tab once opened.  You will also have the ability to view expired signature requests from the search criteria dropdown.

Checking Document Status for Identity Verification in RightSignature

After a signer completes a document, RightSignature often sends a verification email to confirm their identity. Until this verification is completed, the fully executed document will not appear in Firm360. Your firm will receive two notifications during this process: one when the document is signed, and another when it is fully executed and delivered to Firm360.

To check if the verification step is delaying the delivery, log into your RightSignature account and view the document’s "History," which will display the full audit trail. Here's how to access the document's history in RightSignature:

  1. Go to the Documents tab in RightSignature.
  2. Click on the document to open it, then click History in the upper right corner of the screen.

Document Search Criteria can also be used to filter Documents with Completed Signature Requests

  1. Navigate to the black ribbon and click on the Documents tab
  2. Click the Search Criteria dropdown
  3. Select Completed Signature Requests from the options
