- Enable Project Billing Logic- When enabled this feature ensures Fixed price billable line items added to a client's project, will automatically be tracked as time that is "included" and is marked on the Billing Dashboard to not count against the invoice.
Note - do not forget to scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save".
Project Billing example:
I have a project with several time entries associated with it. We have agreed to a total cost of $30k, billed out based on reaching certain milestones, and I want to send the first invoice.
We have reached the first milestone, and I want to issue a bill for $10,000 for the first portion of the total.
To create a bill and invoice the client. Click on Add Charge from the project main tab.
The system assumes this amount will cover the time, therefore automatically marking the time entries as "Do Not Include On Invoice" on the Billing Dashboard
Now you can do a 1-click invoice. All the time will be associated to the invoice along with the $10k fixed line item, for the client realization report analysis later.
