Restricted Document Access(RDA) is a security feature in Firm360 that allows you to limit access to specific client documents.
Important Note: When RDA is enabled, only users assigned to these designated roles can view or modify those restricted documents. Users outside of those roles, including administrative staff, will not have access.:
Partner In Charge
Manager
Bookkeeper
Additionally, when Restricted Document Access is turned on, Admin users (including Firm360 Admin Staff) are unable to edit the Partner In Charge, Manager, Bookkeeper, or Restricted Document Access fields. This ensures that document access controls remain secure and cannot be overridden, even by administrators.
This feature helps firms maintain strict confidentiality and role-based access control for sensitive client information.
How to Enable Restricted Document Access for a Client:
This can be turned on when you Edit Client located in the clients Main page.
Enable the Client Manager and Bookkeeper Fields to give additional team members access to specific client restricted documents.
You will notice that if you Hide Client Manager Field or Hide Client Bookkeeper Field in Settings, the italics text on the Client Edit Screen will change.
NOTE: The information below is only accessible to users with Admin role.
You will now see the text below display the only active ones who have access to it as seen below:
If you hide BOTH Manager and Bookkeeper field, the text will change leaving only the Partner in Charge.
