Print Driver - Installation Guide

The function of the print driver is to convert any document type into a PDF and upload it into the clients account directly without having to be in Firm360.

Most Common Uses:

  • Converting an email from Outlook or Gmail into a PDF and upload a copy into the clients account.
  • Converting a Word document into and upload a copy into the clients account.

 

IMPORTANT TO KNOW BEFORE INSTALLING:

  • This feature is currently only available on Windows.
  • Use Chrome browser to install.
  • Can only be installed in each users computer LOCAL drive.
  • You will need to restart your computer. Be sure to save your work prior to starting the install.

How To Install:

To install, please follow the steps below: 

1. Log into your Firm360 account > Navigate to Documents on the ribbon on the left > scroll to the bottom of page and click on the blue Click here for the print driver (2nd option) as seen below:

2. When the integration appears at the bottom of your screen click the up arrow and select Open to install.

3. When this box appears, please click More Info.

4. Then click Run Anyway

5. Once the installation is complete, please click Close on this window.

6. It will then ask if you would like to restart your computer.  Please click Yes and allow your computer to restart.

7. Once your computer has restarted, please go into any Windows Application and print the document you wish to go into Firm360 and you should now see FIRM360Printer as an option.

8. Please enter in your Firm's Alias and Firm360 Login Credentials

9. This screen should appear and you would enter in the necessary information. You can start typing in the clients' name and options should appear.  Once you are finished inserting information, click Send.

10.  Once you click Send, you should receive a confirmation e-mail that the document has been sent and it should appear in the clients' documents Firm360.  mceclip8.png

Note: If using the Print Driver in UltraTax, you must select 'Paper' option, not 'Print to PDF'.

Note: You can use the Print Driver for Drake software. Please make sure to choose Firm360 print driver in print selections.

 

For security purposes, you will be logged out of the Print Driver after 90 mins of inactivity. 

 

Troubleshooting installation:

If the installer doesn't appear automatically and a Window Dialog box appears, this means that it did not successfully install due to being blocked by Windows protection.

Here's how to fix the error above:

Open your Windows File Explorer > Downloads > Locate and search for SetupFIRM360Printer.exe > Select and Right-click > Run as administrator

 

How To Uninstall:

  • Go to your Windows computer Settings > Type "Add or remove"
  • Select the Add or remove programs options

 

  • You will then see a screen like the one below of Apps > Installed apps
  • Type in the Search box, "Firm360" and you will be displayed Firm360Printer or Firm360 Print Driver if it's installed in your PC.
    • If you do not see it under your Apps > Installed apps, it is because you do not have it installed so you can proceed to installing.
  • Click on the 3 dots (...) and select Uninstall
    • Follow the uninstall prompt. 
    • Restart your PC.
