User Profile: Notification Preferences

Managing Notification Preferences in Firm360

To customize how often you receive notifications for client updates, tasks, and projects, follow these steps:

  1. Click your name in the upper right corner of Firm360.
  2. Select “Profile” from the dropdown menu.
  3. Navigate to the notification settings section.
  4. Adjust the frequency of notifications based on your preferences.

This allows you to stay informed while ensuring your notifications align with your workflow. 

 

 

1. My Project Change Notifications: You will receive an email or in-app notification when you are assigned to a project or when a project assigned to you changes status.

2. My Task Change Notifications: Receive an email or in-app notification when you are assigned a task or when a task assigned to you changes status.

3. My Project Comment Notifications: Receive an email in-app notification when you are mentioned in a comment on a project.

4. My Project Document Upload Notifications: Receive an email or in-app notification when a new document is uploaded for one of your projects. (Notifications will also come if a document is uploaded by staff or clients.)

5. My Project Client Messages Notifications: Receive an email or in-app notification when a client sends a message related to a project that you are assigned too.

6. My Project Client Action Notifications: Receive an email or in-app notification when the client completes any action item. Uncheck this box if you do not want this notification.

7. Client Access Requests Notifications: Receive an email or in-app notification for new client access requests.

8. Client Message Assigned to Me Notifications: Receive an email or in-app notification when a client message is assigned to you. 

 

A. Client Actions Completed Notifications: Receive an email or in-app notification when the client completes any action item. Uncheck this box if you do not want this notification.

  • None: No notifications 
  • My Clients: Clients you're assigned to (as Partner in Charge, Manager, or Bookkeeper) or connected to via a User custom field.
  • All Clients: All clients in your firm

B. New Client Message Notifications: Get an e-mail or in-app notification when a client sends you a message

  • None: No notifications 
  • My Clients: Clients you're assigned to (as Partner in Charge, Manager, or Bookkeeper) or connected to via a User custom field.
  • All Clients: All clients in your firm

C. Client Upload Document Notifications: Receive an email notification when a client uploads a document, completes a client action form, or marks a client action complete. 

  • None: No notifications 
  • My Clients: Clients you're assigned to (as Partner in Charge, Manager, or Bookkeeper) or connected to via a User custom field.
  • All Clients: All clients in your firm

D. Open Project Notifications: Receive an email notification summarizing your open projects, either daily (Monday - Friday) or weekly (Monday.)

  • Weekly: On Mondays, you will receive a summary of your open projects
  • Daily: Each day you will receive a summary of your open projects
  • None: No summary of open projects

D. Client Payment Received Notification: Get an e-mail when a client pays their invoice. This will automatically default to None

  • None: No notifications 
  • My Clients: Clients you're assigned as Partner in Charge
  • All Clients: All clients in your firm

 

If you would like a way to see all the documents that clients have uploaded without the notifications- click "View Reports" in the black ribbon and then select "Client Uploads".  Choose the time frame in which you want to know what documents clients have uploaded & click "Run Report" to load the data 

Common Document Notification Scenarios: 

  1. I only want to get notifications that are uploaded externally (by clients)
    • We recommend you uncheck "My Project Document Upload Notifications" and then leave "My Clients" for "Client Upload Document Notifications" checked - you will get notified if any client you are the PIC, Manager or Bookkeeper uploads a doc, but NOT for anything else.
  2. I want a staff member to get notifications about client document uploads instead of PIC
    • PIC should uncheck "My Project Document Upload Notifications" 
    • PIC should select "None" for "Client Upload Document Notifications" for your user
    • The designated staff member should select "All Clients" for "Client Upload Document Notifications"
 
 

In App Notifications: 

You now have the ability to choose to have in app notifications! You can choose them in lieu of or in addition to emails!

You will see a bell icon next to the global messaging envelope 

 

You can hover over the bell and it will give you a preview of the in app notification.
You can click on the bell icon for a full list of notifications
